Pharmacy Technician for a hybrid role to impact the lives of an
underserved population that needs a voice. This hybrid position
supports all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty
pharmacy by providing onsite support in the partner clinic as a
liaison between the clinic and a Genoa pharmacy, coordinating
prescription services, dispensing medical prescriptions and
performing necessary clerical duties, splitting time between the

Hospital, 199 Oak St., Pembroke, MA (Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
and South Shore Mental Health 460 Quincy Ave. Room 236, Quincy, MA.
(Tuesday and Thursday) You will split your time being a coordinator
at the hospital and a technician in Quincy. Hours: Monday - Friday,
8:30-5:00 (closed for lunch from 12:30-1:00) Primary
Responsibilities: Primary Hospital Site Responsibilities: Works in
a hospital setting and builds strong relationship with patients,
hospital staff, pharmacy team as well as other clients and
stakeholders aligned with the business group Participates in
daily/weekly/monthly team meetings and acts on feedback to ensure
quality care on-site Educates potential patients about services
provided at time of discharge and articulates how patients may
utilize pharmacy services to obtain full benefits of the
high-quality prescriptive care Attends and contributed to daily
medical team meetings and coordinates the collection of
prescriptions, patient orders and all necessary paperwork for the
pharmacy team in order to handle dispensing of patient medications
Schedules and coordinates pharmacist consultation review of
patient's prescribed medications to drive medication adherence and
education Handles the coordination of patient medication delivery
at time of discharge and ensures education has been provided to all
necessary caregivers Identifies and resolves insurance billing
adjudication; including facilitating prior authorizations (PAs),
and assisting in locating financial assistance for patients as
needed Conducts weekly follow up calls with hospital patients post
following discharge to ensure aftercare plans have been met
Identifies trends, barriers and potential process improvement
opportunities and subsequently recommends customized and innovative
solutions; as well as proposing value-driven change when necessary
All areas of the job description are subject to state regulations
and allowances. (Liaisons will be provided and trained on all state
specific regulations and allowances) Primary Pharmacy Site
Responsibilities: Provides exceptional customer service to all
consumers and members of the clinic staff Fills prescription orders
and makes them available for verification under direct supervision
of the registered pharmacist Orders, receives and stores incoming
pharmacy supplies Receives and processes wholesaler medication
orders Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to
maintain inventory records Works with the Pharmacist to asset in
the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with
all federal and state requirements Performs various clerical duties
relating to the department Communicates with strong professional
verbal and written communication skills Other duties as assigned
May be required to make deliveries within a 10-mile radius (will be
using your own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage) You'll

School diploma/GED or higher National Pharmacy Technician
Certification Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician Licensed
or Certified Pharmacy Technician in the state of Massachusetts 2+
years of hospital experience or pharmacy technician experience
Valid Driver's license and insurance Access to reliable
transportation Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a behavioral
or mental health setting Bilingual (Spanish) speaking Proven highly
proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word Proven
solid verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to
work with a close-knit team and possess solid administrative and
organizational skills Proven ability to learn other software
systems Demonstrated ability to be detail oriented, professional,
results oriented with a positive outlook and patient focus Learn
